art is what makes life more interesting than art - Robert Filliou :
Corine Pagny is an artist whose career is marked by a classical training enriched by decisive encounters. Having long worked in drawing with live models, she now devotes herself mainly to engraving and linocut. Her work is characterized by a constant search for gesture and line, in which emotion plays a central role. Corine creates works that capture lightness and spontaneity, offering a poetic interpretation of reality that touches the heart.
Corine Pagny's inspiration is deeply linked to the expression of gesture and line, influenced by artists such as Egon Schiele and Lydie Arickx. Over the past three years, she has turned to engraving and linocut, moving away from her first love, drawing live models. This evolution enables her to capture the essence of emotion through techniques where each stroke is thought out and felt. Her artistic approach is singular in its lightness, seeking to infuse each work with the poetry of the present moment, where art becomes a delicate reflection of life itself.
