"Being together and being yourself".
Born with a passion for art, Corinne Malfreyt has always taken refuge in drawing, even during her school years when she scribbled on everything she could get her hands on. After a successful career in commerce, at the age of 40 she decided to follow her true calling: art. Since then, she has devoted her life to creating art, finding fulfillment in painting and sharing her passion through courses. Her work is an ongoing exploration of human emotions and body movements, which she captures with a unique sensitivity.
Corinne Malfreyt draws inspiration from photography, dance and modern art, influenced by artists such as Eadweard Muybridge, Loïe Fuller and Pina Bausch. She favors dynamic compositions, working the material with sand and knives to create effects of texture and depth. Her works, which blend matte and gloss, capture the perpetual motion of life and the raw emotion of her subjects. She admires Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Egon Schiele and Matisse for their ability to translate human vitality. For Corinne Malfreyt, art is a subtle vector of communication, a way of uniting people while expressing individual singularities.
