WHAT DID CARRÉ D’ARTISTES CHANGE FOR YOU, REGARDING YOUR CAREER AS AN ARTIST?

Before working with Carré d’artistes, I had never done any private viewing.
Since then I have been able to host some, which allowed me to meet my clients.

Moreover, I was used to only working on large formats so this gave me the opportunity to learn how to paint on smaller formats.

Since my collaboration with Carré d’artistes, my work feels more accomplished as training enables me to master my art and technique.

HOW IS YOUR PARTNERSHIP WITH CARRE D’ARTISTES ON A DAILY BASIS?

I’m more in contact with gallery managers than with the headquarters.

Nonetheless, my questions are answered quickly and efficiently.

My current relationship with Carré d’artistes meets my expectations.

DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH CARRÉ D’ARTISTES

The words that best describe my experience with Carré d’artistes are:

Expertise: employees do a great job.

Promotion: Carré d’artistes enables artists to be known by more people.

The events that marked me the most since working with Carré d’artistes are my exhibitions.

I once met an artist whom I talked with about my work. His in-depth analysis was very interesting.

During another exhibition in Lyon, I experienced a certain enthusiasm for my paintings I had never seen before: 24 artworks were sold in one weekend! It was a first!

Portrait of Richard Poumelin

Richard started drawing at the age of 16.
Always in search of an absolute truth, artistic creation turned out to be an answer to his questions.
He became a student of Jean-Georges Inca, a painter who is concerned with the clash of civilizations.
In 1999 his watercolours were remarked upon and he received numerous awards.
Richard now uses a mixed media of acrylic, oil and graphite.
While keeping the subjects themselves in watercolour, he offers more material and more contrast by using these materials.
