In my work, I strive to show my admiration for the beauty of the world around us. The main sources of inspiration are children, travel, native places and nature.
Russian artist Evgenia Mekhova began her career in forestry engineering before turning to the fine arts. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts after intensive studies. Passionate, she took courses at the St Petersburg Academy of Arts and attended the creative base of the Russian Union of Artists, Academic Dacha, from 2018 to 2021. It was here that she broadened her skills by working alongside a variety of artists and experimenting with new techniques. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Union of Watercolorists of Russia and the Union of Artists of Russia.
Through her works, Evgeniia Mekhova aims to convey her admiration for the beauty of the world around us. Her main sources of inspiration are nature, children and places. In 2018, she began training in various printing and creative techniques such as linocut, etching and lithography. At the same time, she also perfected her skills as a watercolorist. Success followed, with the Russian artist taking part in numerous group and solo exhibitions. Now based in Germany, she works mainly in oils, painting city views, local landscapes and botanical watercolors.
