Armed with a rich palette composed mainly of bright colours, the painter focuses on translating to canvas the multiplicity of expressions coming from one face. Basing her inspiration on internet research, Nicoleta selects her subjects as much for the beauty radiating from their faces as for the attitude they adopt. Then the painter aims to execute her works by means of a mixture of techniques– ranging from oil painting to acrylic and batik and occasionally including coffee in their composition –, all of which translate into strong dynamism embedded in real pictorial modernity. With focus on representing the female body, her portraits reflect gentleness overlaid with intense expressivity, accentuated by an entanglement of wide multi-coloured brush marks and embodying a candid and spontaneous gesture.
