At the end of his account of his life learning art ... Hokusaï, says "At this age, at this moment, a line, a blot, a point ,All that I will paint."
Didier Goessens, immersed in art since childhood thanks to his artist parents, is a passionate creator who explores various drawing and painting techniques. After a career as a fashion illustrator and teacher at the École de la Cambre in Brussels, he devoted himself fully to his artistic practice. His works, marked by a quest for the beauty of the living, capture the power of movement and emotion, offering the viewer a transcendent visual experience.
Didier Goessens is inspired by the great masters of art, from Rembrandt to Zao Wou-Ki, via cave art and Fayum portraits. Working mainly with liquefied acrylics on watercolor paper, he uses metal and goose feathers to create vibrant drawings. His creative process, based on letting go, aims to transcend the ordinary and reveal the hidden beauty of the world. For Goessens, art is an invitation to marvel and reconnect with the vitality of life, awakening the senses and uplifting the soul.
