My artistic mission: to bring regenerative dream in a materalistic and traumatic society.
From Brittany on his father's side and Dunkirk on his mother's, Albert was born in the free zone of Allier, where his parents had fled during the war to escape the hell of Dunkirk. The artist in him came out at 16 when he received his first guitar and paintbrushes. He attended the School of Fine Arts and became a civil engineering draftsman, an advertising designer, a photographer, a singer and a songwriter. For several years he devoted himself to interpreting his musical compositions, but tired by this hectic life, he eventually settled down in southern France, where he isolated himself from the crazy world he had known and devoted himself to painting.
For a time, Albert preferred the freedom of expression of watercolour; the water and colours mix with an element of the unknown, without composition, nor retouches. After many years devoted to this technique, he began searching for the Turner-inspired spontaneity of his watercolours in oils. He works the medium without composition, with a knife, spatula or trowel, applied directly onto cardboard or canvas. This technique gives an abstract freedom of expression while maintaining the realism of the subject. Albert's origins are in the sea, always turning to it to seek answers to his doubts and artistic wanderings. It is in the sea, as in the womb, that he finds his reflection, an identity, a new life. In Brittany, Dunkirk or Meze on the Mediterranean, it is the sea that calls and replies.
