A quote from Willem de Kooning: "I wasn't working with the idea of perfection but to see how far one could go, you know - but not with the idea of really doing it."
Since she was a child, Priscille Deborah has devoted all her free time to crafts and painting, her real passion. She studied business and tried to bring it together with art by working in cinema production. But she couldn't quench her ever-increasing thirst to paint. It wasn't until 2007, when a serious accident left her a triple amputee, that she decided to focus solely on art. Surgery and a triple operation in 2020 made her the first French woman to use a mind-controlled bionic arm.
The versatile artist, performer and painter uses her talent to explore what makes us what we are. Priscille doesn't care what others think about what she has to say. Her canvases are like her: scarred but full of life. The artist often conjures cheerfully strange yet familiar characters who come together to celebrate life. Her love for art and life has seen Priscille do live painting performances. She creates a unique bond with her audience at concerts and shows. She's inspired by the likes of figurative masters such as Rebeyrolle, Barcelo and Leroy alongside German expressionists including Nolde and Kirchner.
