Steffi Coupette is a German artist with a passion for color, a fascination that goes back to her childhood. Her works, shown in exhibitions in Germany, the United States, the Netherlands and France, are characterized by abstract, urban landscapes in which color composition plays a central role. Working mainly with acrylics on canvas, Steffi invites the viewer to freely interpret her creations, where buildings are often barely suggested, leaving room for the imagination.
Steffi Coupette's inspiration comes from her deep love of colors and the way they interact. In her works, she explores the depth and harmony of hues, creating urban landscapes where color composition is predominant. Her technique is based on the application of layers of acrylic using brushes and spatulas, creating rich, textured structures. As a child, Steffi was already fascinated by color theories, an interest that led her to experiment early on with different motifs and draw inspiration from artists such as Van Gogh and August Macke. Today, her creations are an invitation to look beyond appearances and plunge into a world where color is king.
