Anicet Olivier
If you can write it or think it, you can paint it.
Olivier Anicet is a versatile artist, painter, sculptor and photographer, whose visual DNA is imbued with Creole colors. Active since 1996, he uses art as a window onto the world and the universe. His singular, expressive artistic approach seeks to capture emotion and elicit profound reactions in the viewer. Each work is a visual exploration in which color takes center stage, reflecting the richness and complexity of his inspirations.
Olivier Anicet's inspiration comes from diverse influences, such as the simplicity and complexity of Katsushika Hokusai's compositions, as well as Negro art with its sculptures and masks. Working mainly in acrylics with unique pigments, Olivier creates original colors that bring his works to life. His technique, marked by the use of brushes and chalk, is distinguished by an immediately recognizable visual style, particularly in his urban series. Through his art, Olivier Anicet seeks to have a lasting impact on his contemporaries and future generations, opening up new artistic avenues and inviting reflection on our humanity.
