"Perrotte" is the nickname that will never leave me. Meaning "little pear" in Catalan, that's how my sisters used to call me.
Perrotte fulfilled a dream in 2010 when he converted his house near Toulouse into a workshop. This life choice marked a new beginning for the Catalan painter. Released from the contingencies of a hectic life, he embarked on his artistic career, one that he has developed with success since his early youth.
Perrotte considers each of his works as a personal adventure, as a new field of exploration and sharing. Flourishing, he has happily released a surprising capacity for creativity. Far from academic conventions, his unique pictorial work is expressed with abstraction, a form that imposes itself as obvious.
Today, his purpose is unknown, never - seen, unheard of. Non - figurative paintings born of the human spirit transcend reality. In Perrotte’s work, this metaphysical idealism, tinged with romanticism, is served by a formal discipline, full of symbols.
The static constructions from Perrotte's beginnings have given way to subtle formulations of pictorial movement that question the observer. In their semantic function, signs scattered by the painter in his compositions are in harmony with each other. With this contemporary language, Perrotte intends to make "the soul of the beholder" vibrate. While emotional, philosophical suggestions from which everyone can imagine a path can be detected in his art.
In Perrotte’s work, backgrounds, shapes and lines create opulent colour combinations. His abstract paintings become sensitive, living surfaces offering a new perception of relief. A magical atmosphere emanates from them, bathed in joy, poetry and serenity.
