Isn't handling colors and lines a real diplomacy, because the real difficulty is precisely to harmonize all that. (Raoul Dufy)\n
Béatrice Chassagnette is a multi-talented artist who began her career as a fashion designer in Paris. She worked with prestigious designers such as Popy Moreni, Nathalie Garçon, Apostrophe and at Studio Chanel with Karl Lagerfeld. Her career then took her around the world, from London to Asia, including South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Today, she devotes herself to painting, inspired by the colors and light of the South of France where she was born.
Béatrice Chassagnette's inspirations are drawn from the work of Raoul Dufy, Henri Matisse and Paul Cézanne, all renowned for their exceptional talent as colorists. Béatrice mainly uses oil paint, reflecting on the aesthetics, balance and allure of her compositions, a legacy of her training as a designer. She likes to mix pure colors directly on the canvas and create movement with strong brushstrokes. Her artistic approach is influenced by her experience in fashion, thoughtfully staging objects, colors and materials. Béatrice wants her works to offer the viewer an interlude, a moment of escape and contemplation, underlining the importance of taking time in a world where everything moves too fast.
