Attracted from an early age by the plastic arts, Elisabeth began her apprenticeship by developing a diligent practice of drawing. Over the years, she tried out different styles and techniques, with the dual objective of enriching her creative potential and perfecting her gesture. It was during 2012 that the Savoyard artist decided to extend her graphic work by experimenting with pictorial creation and, as a result, began producing her first works on canvas. Until then a faithful practitioner of an art exclusively turned towards figuration, Elisabeth opts from now on for abstraction in order to feel, in the exercise of this new discipline, the extent of the possibilities which are offered to her. This deliberate departure from her comfort zone proves to be fruitful as it offers her the opportunity to experience a great freedom of expression and movement, which she will immediately adopt. Made from acrylic, the paintings are executed spontaneously, without prior sketch, by apposition or projection of the material on the canvas support. Equipped with her knives and brushes, and carried by her only creative sensitivity, Elisabeth translates into paint ""her feeling in the present moment. I am as if in a kind of meditation, on another "frequency" where time no longer exists. An intuitive painting, the reflection of my deep identity", she writes. Playing with the tonalities, the forms and the textures, the painter works with passion to the materialization of a harmonious and balanced composition, while being attached to preserve the character resolutely dynamic and contrasted, which makes its personal signature.
