As light fascinates me, I strives to capture all of its subtleties.
After studying at the School of Art, and much technical training in Switzerland and Austria, Edith began a career in art education. Since 1998, she has conducted watercolour workshops across Europe, from Paris to Edinburgh, passing through the Greek islands. Her work was honoured in 2005 at the annual exhibition of the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh (Scotland, UK).
Edith bases her work on past experiences. She takes the viewer to the destinations she likes: Eastern Switzerland, Tuscany, Venice, New York, etc.. Trips are, for her, an opportunity to capture new topics. Each of her paintings captures a fleeting moment, reminding us of the transitory nature of existence. This awareness of time passing is also found in the sculptures of the artist, whose soapstone or alabaster torsos unfold in unbridled vital impulses.

1. less is more - every work needs space so that it can be thought through independently by the viewer.
2. with my talent I want to capture the perfection and fascination of light in all its diversity.
3. to open doors for a new way of seeing.
4. all my experiences guide me intuitively through the creative process. Each realization becomes unique.
5 I try to create a realization with a tendency towards complementary color schemes. Contrasts e.g. large - small, light - dark, perspective over and under.
6. not everything should be perfectly staged. It is more important to me to convey a mood, a feeling.
7. this is possible and would not be the first time. However, the specifications must meet my requirements.
8 I prefer email.
9. F1 approx. 2 1/2 hours, F4 approx. 1 day, 80x100 cm approx. 2 days.
