Art is the place of freedom. André Suarès
Originally from Savoie, Fanny spent a year in 2013 travelling freely around New Zealand. Back in France, this drawing and board sports enthusiast dreams of designing for the big snowboard brands. She finally finds a new sense of freedom in creation and artistic expression. Somewhere between art and craft, her concept is to recycle and divert winter sports material to make unique and original decorative objects. In addition to her boards, Fanny has also tried her hand at working with wood and more recently with canvas.
The most important thing for Fanny is to express freedom. Fascinated by dreamers with a child's soul, she is inspired by street art figures such as Banksy or Seaty but also by the worlds of Harring or Combas. Curious, she sometimes reinterprets the motifs of ancient civilizations such as the Aztecs or the Aborigines. Once she has chosen a theme, the artist leaves the space and everything is improvisation. Her movements are simple and without constraint, her line is fluid and harmonious, her hand glides freely and her imagination reveals shapes, characters and interlacing. She uses POSCA markers with meticulousness, accompanied by acrylic in spray or brush and sometimes collages, for a rendering always very colorful, lively and joyful. With her creations, Fanny doesn't want to tell a story or transmit a message but seeks to touch and inspire each of us.
