The artist must not copy nature but take the elements of nature and create a new element - Paul Gauguin
Luc Langeron, born April 8, 1965, expresses himself through mixed techniques that encompass ochres, coatings and pigments. Fascinated from an early age by the observation of nature and painting, Luc explored the power and technicality of colors, leading him to a profound work on matter and light that characterizes his works.
His technique emphasizes the duality between fullness and emptiness, between the robustness of the wood and the fluidity of the applied colors. The gloss varnish applied to these saturated colors intensifies the impression of movement and depth, transforming each work into an almost tactile visual experience. This work on volumes is a natural evolution for Langeron, who finds in wood the freedom to sculpt light and play with relief, enriching his pictorial language usually dedicated to the landscapes of Provence, where color and form celebrate the unchanging beauty of this region.
