There are flowers everywhere for those who want to see them. - Henri Matisse.
Victoria Picini, who has been passionate about the visual arts since childhood, started out as a self-taught artist before obtaining the CAPES in plastic arts. After teaching, she now devotes herself entirely to painting. Victoria is renowned for her unique style, blending reworked photos and paintings, a technique she was among the first to explore in the late 90s. Her works capture moments in life and feelings that have brought her happiness and growth.
Victoria Picini draws her inspiration from masters such as Van Gogh, Matisse, Klimt and the Impressionists, influenced by her proximity to Monet's home in Giverny. She uses a variety of techniques, mixing acrylics, paper, pastels, fabric and tracing paper to create magical, dreamlike works. Victoria has developed a recognizable style by combining elements of the past with contemporary media. Her paintings, imbued with memories and moments of happiness, invite the viewer to remain a child, as Matisse encouraged.
