My painting asks a question and it is up to the viewer to propose the answers.
Bonetti was born in Bulgaria to a mother who was an art teacher mother. He grew up surrounded by art books and spent several hours a day in the family library. During the summer, his parents took him around Europe and had him visit the major museums of the world (the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, the Louvre Museum in Paris, the Prado in Madrid and the British Museum in London). As an adult, he followed in the family footsteps and earned an art degree. He moved to Canada and Europe and continued to study for several years. From his youth, Bonetti retained a taste for travel and discovery. He finds each place, each landscape interesting. Confrontation with other cultures and the idea of rethinking his own values is an inexhaustible source of wealth in his eyes.
His creative process is the result of several layers of acrylic paint worked with a brush or a sponge. He then covers his work with resin so that the paint is protected and unchanging. From the classical painters, Bonetti retains the effects of light or the work of details. At the same time, the American painters of abstract expressionism (twentieth century) greatly influence his work. Gerhard Richter (contemporary German artist) remains his greatest inspiration. Bonetti creates a new image in parallel to reality that represents the fragility of illusions and the perpetual change of the world. He leaves his work open to interpretation.
