What I will do will be the impression of what I will have felt - Monet
François Jung, who graduated in applied arts from LISAA Paris in 2003, is an artist who began his career as a graphic designer and illustrator. Painting became a creative escape for him, allowing him to work without the constraints of the screen and freely explore the material and the canvas. This freedom has fueled his desire to progress and invest himself more seriously in painting. He seeks to capture the beauty in ordinary aspects of life, making them extraordinary for a brief moment.
François Jung uses oil paint with liquin as his medium, and varies the tools (brushes, rollers, glass scraper) to create works composed of multiple thin layers. Her inspirations range from classical painting (Bouguereau, Velasquez) to Impressionism (Cézanne, Monet), contemporary painters (Alex Kanevsky, Jérôme Lagarrigue, François Bard) and cinema. His artistic approach is based on the sincere expression of his feelings, without seeking to convey a specific message. Open to special commissions, he prefers the subject to resonate with him.
