Sylvie Gaussen, an artist deeply influenced by her rural roots, grew up in a family of winegrowers. Nature, roots and the ancients play a central role in her life and art. A lifelong enthusiast of painting, she has found a special connection with the natural elements of the Cyclades. Sensitive to respect for the earth, she uses her art to express the importance of protecting our environment.
Sylvie Gaussen's work is inspired by the watercolors of her great-grandfather, Auguste Augière. Over time, she has developed a more powerful, thicker style of painting, influenced by her travels and encounters with nature. Her palette evolves after each trip, enriching with new nuances inspired by moss, water, pebbles, tree bark, wind and light. Her message is clear: protect and respect nature.
