Marina Hirlea is a graduate of the Faculty of Plastic Arts in Strasbourg.
Born in Bucharest, she initially studied architecture at the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urban Planning, and at the Athenaeum School in Lausanne.

She lives and works in the south of France, in Loupian (Herault department).
Marina Hirlea's oil paintings are inspired by landscapes and the rich fabrics of haute couture designers, as well as by memories and the past.
It is composed of several series that are worked on in parallel.
The paintings presented by Carré d'Artistes are part of the "Rhythmic Compositions" series. The repetitive motif is detailed and thickly worked. Through this work, the artist hopes to lead the viewer towards appeasement and meditation.
