I will be happy if I could make someone smile with my works.
Masukawa Masako is a Japanese artist living in France, whose delicate, poetic works captivate with their sensitivity and originality. Her passion for watercolors stems from her desire to communicate beyond words, a vocation that was affirmed during her stays in the United States. Each painting is an invitation to enter a universe imbued with gentleness and imagination, where art becomes a universal language capable of touching everyone's heart.
Masukawa Masako draws inspiration from her reading, her travels and her overflowing imagination. Her watercolors are distinguished by a singular technique, in which the management of whites and the mixing of colors on wet paper create surprising light effects. This approach, both delicate and daring, gives rise to works that oscillate between poetry and playfulness. For Masako, art is a universal means of communication, capable of transmitting emotions across language barriers. Each creation is a challenge she takes up with passion, always seeking to bring a smile to those who contemplate her works.
