Description artwork
This unique and original contemporary artwork "Le deshabillé" was created by contemporary artist Malfreyt Corinne.
It was inspired by the decomposition of movements carried out by photographer Eadweard Muybridge at the end of the 19th century.
The artist used the oil technique to create this large-format painting on canvas in the figurative style. On an ochre background, the artist applies a thin layer of white oil paint with a knife. Then she works the whole with knives, scratching, tracing, erasing and making the silhouettes reappear for a painting that is dynamic and dreamlike at the same time.
