Bichebois Manuel | Contemporary Artist: Artworks & Biography

Bichebois Manuel

Painting is also a tube of glue that brings back together the pieces of me that are scattered with everyday life.
Yesterday as today, art holds a major place in Manuel's life. After a degree in biology, he returned to the visual arts, and became a computer graphics designer in video games and then a 3D design manager. This painter with an unusual background is also the author of the comic book series "L'enfant de l'orage". Afterwards, he discovered oil painting by chance and found the pleasure of working with matter. He quickly abandoned his graphic tablet for the easel, the canvas and the brushes and has since devoted all his free time to composition.
For Manuel, the most important thing is color: everything can be associated with a hue! Never tired of the nuances that life and nature offer him, he struggles to restrict his palettes in so many colorful dilemmas.technique, the artist paints in oil, alla prima, on a canvas primed beforehand with a layer of gesso to bring irregularity. This brushed texture shapes his style and his approach. He composes by tempering his line, like a musician with his string, sometimes lively and firm, sometimes calm and supple. If he is inspired by post-impressionist artists such as Sargent, Zorn, Sorolla or Boldini, his reference remains the painter Richard Schmid and how he manages to freeze in eternity the beauty of banal scenes Modest, Manuel wishes with his works to instill quietude and serenity, when the calendar disappears and the silence is finally achieved.
