"Art is a mirror in which we see infinity." - George Sand
Vasily Tryndyk is a contemporary Russian-Dutch artist, born in 1954 in Nalchik. He grew up in an artistic family, with his father, a well-known painter, as his main mentor. Vasily studied at the Demidov School of Art and Graphic Design in Leningrad. His works are marked by a continuous exploration of shapes and geometries, using bold contrasts and saturated colors. Based in the Netherlands since 1991, he continues to innovate and exhibit his work internationally.
Vasily Tryndyk's inspirations are deeply rooted in nature, music, literature and historical events. His artistic childhood and his father's influence have shaped his aesthetic sensibility. Vasily combines diverse influences and experiences to create unique works. His technique is characterized by constant experimentation with geometric shapes, textures and spaces, aimed at provoking an emotional response in the viewer. Realism and symbolism permeate his paintings, which capture fleeting emotions and universal truths. His famous series, such as "Our Lesser Brothers", illustrate his talent for blending realism and symbolism.
