Béatrice Kerbastard has always had a passion for drawing and painting. After a figurative career, she moved on to semi-figurative and abstract expression, exploring colors and materials. Her work is characterized by a constant search for delicacy and sensitivity, where every stroke and curve is designed to evoke emotion. Béatrice seeks to capture the beauty of the world through an approach that is both structured and spontaneous.
Béatrice Kerbastard's inspiration lies in the delicacy of the human figure and the richness of contrasting light. Influenced by artists such as Egon Schiele for drawing and Joan Mitchell for the freedom of abstraction, she develops a unique technique by superimposing thin layers of acrylic on a marble powder base. Her works, often enlivened by touches of oil pastel, play with chance and randomness to create forms and compositions that are both fresh and spontaneous. Béatrice explores the boundary between the figurative and the abstract, offering the viewer an emotionally rich visual experience.
