Inspiration comes from the emotions linked to the marine world. I rely on reality without becoming attached to it, in order to preserve the spontaneity of my feelings.
It was during a stay in New Caledonia that Laurence JOVYS was introduced to the art and technique of sand painting, so delicate and singular. On her return to France, she naturally devoted herself to creation, combining her interest in natural sand paintings with her passion for the maritime environment. Aquatic fauna, beaches, seabirds, seaweed...
