Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Jean Charles Decoudun is an artist with a passion for Paris, which he considers the most beautiful city in the world. Since childhood, he has been inspired by the arts, a passion passed on by his grandfather, a pioneer of the comic strip. His love of painting was confirmed when he was given a box of watercolors, marking the beginning of an artistic career dedicated to capturing the beauty of Paris. Each work is a declaration of love to the City of Light.
Jean Charles Decoudun draws his inspiration from the streets of Paris, a city he marvels at and explores through his lens before transcribing it onto canvas. His technique consists of photographing Parisian scenes, which he then reworks in his studio, transforming each shot into a vibrant painting. Influenced by Alfred Sisley, he strives to capture the unique light and atmosphere of Paris. For Jean Charles, beauty lies in looking at the world, and his works invite the viewer to appreciate the details and magic of every Parisian moment.
