Ludo Lassalle, a post-graffiti artist originally from Calais and now living in the Cévennes, creates authentic, poetic urban works. Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Calais and passionate about drawing since childhood, he began graffiti in 1988. His work pays homage to forgotten places, shedding new light and immortalizing settings worn down by time. Always on the lookout for new plastic territories, Ludo fuses figurative painting and post-graffiti, constantly exploring new techniques and media.
Ludo Lassalle draws his inspiration from graffiti, post-graffiti, modern and contemporary art, and artists such as Picasso, Yan Pei-Ming, Gael Davrinche and Jean-Michel Basquiat. His work mixes figurative and post-graffiti, using a variety of supports that he often makes himself. Influenced by urbanism and architecture, he works from reality to pay homage to a discreet but rich heritage. His art is also marked by Pop Art, abstraction and references such as the book "Subway Art" and modest arts, reflecting a unique treatment and a profound aesthetic quest.
